CHARACTER NAME: Setsuna Meioh (Sailor Pluto)
CHARACTER SERIES: Sailor Moon (manga)

[OOC]

Backtagging: YES
Threadhopping: YES
Fourthwalling: ACCEPTABLE, though I would prefer some warning first.
Offensive subjects (elaborate): Rape. Extreme Violence. Character death. I won't thread these. Other topics might also crop up, but I can't think of them right now.

[IC]

Hugging this character: Okay. Depending on who it is, Setsuna would be rather surprised by it. She is unlikely to reciprocate unless you are VERY close to her (ex. Small Lady).
Kissing this character: Possible. On the cheek or forehead is fine, but again her reaction is going to differ a lot depending on WHO is kissing her.
Flirting with this character: Go for it. She may not pick up on it right away. She's also not used to being flirted with so much.
Fighting with this character: Acceptable. She's not a fighter in civilian form and will likely try to talk you down or calm you down. She's much more formidable as a sailor senshi and a very capable fighter with a lot of energy attacks and a staff at her disposal to fight back with. Be warned that her duty was once stopping invaders from getting into the galaxy so she's used to fighting on her own if that is what is called for.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Acceptable. Please nothing fatal, but honestly injuries are going to be on a case by case basis. Please run injuries and their severity by me first in plot before doing anything that might maim her in some way. Blood, cuts, scrapes, and bruises are totally fine and don't require express permission before hand.
Killing this character: NOPE!
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: It's okay to do. Be aware you're going to find some interesting things though. I'd like to talk it out first, but gleaming superficial thoughts/emotions without asking is totally fine. Just don't go deeper or Inception her without asking me first.

Canon- Chapter Guide

canon point:
Act 50 - Stars 1; The senshi have just defeated Queen Nehellenia and restored peace for the Earth. The girls, including Setsuna, are settling back into civilian life and hoping for some peace.

background:
Setsuna Meiou is a young woman who lives on Earth circa 1990s and the technology is about what you would expect for that era. While the Earth is mostly the same, there are obviously some elements that make it, well, different. There is the existence of sailor soldiers, guardians of various heavenly bodies throughout the galaxy that defend their planets with special abilities and powers given to them through their star seeds. Not many people know of their existence on Earth, except to consider them super heroes.

Setsuna is a part of a group of reincarnated warrior women who defend the Earth and its inhabitants from beings outside the solar system/dimension/time who would wish to do it harm. Specifically they look after the princess and future queen of a lunar based society that was wiped out by this evil millennium ago: Serenity.

Setsuna was reincarnated from a being known as Sailor Pluto who was tasked with guarding the gates of space/time from outside invaders who might wish to use it for destructive purposes. She is an anomaly because she seems to exist both as Setsuna the human and as guardian of the gates of time (which, as you might guess, exist outside time itself) simultaneously. In the past, three severe taboos were placed on her by the previous queen. However, with Usagi (Serenity) taking the thrown in the 30th century, those taboos may have been removed due to the fact that Pluto has been given a new assignment and purpose that allows her to be outside of the gates of time: protecting the princess and her consort.

Most of the significant events within canon focus on Usagi/Sailor Moon/Serenity as a focal point. She is what all of the evil/Chaos in the universe is after and part of Sailor Pluto and the other sailor soldiers' job is to protect her from that destructive force. Pluto is a part of the Outer soldiers who are considered more ruthless and powerful than their Inner counterparts because, in the past anyway, they were often expected to fight alone and be the first line of defense against outside invasion.

In the present, as it were, Setsuna/Pluto has worked much more closely with the Inner senshi than she would have in her past life. This bonding between the soldiers has allowed for power-ups and for the team to actually become stronger than they once were through the power of friendship and camaraderie, all in an effort to fight for and protect the Earth and specifically their Princess.

While the future has been shown to be flexible because of these changes and various shifts throughout the story, the fact remains the same that Sailor Pluto eventually goes on to become a good friend of Small Lady, the Queen and King's first born daughter. She is both a friend and confidant for the young pink-haired princess, though according to the outlook of the future Pluto is back to her duties as sole guardian of the gates of time and does not assume her role as civilian Setsuna Meiou quite as much any more. Not much is known about the future, only that Sailor Moon took over as Neo Queen Serenity and led the earth into 1000 years of peace...leading in to the 30th century and the events that unfold there.

personality: [revised]
Setsuna is very much the quiet type. She prefers to meditate over matters on her own and can even appear to be cold and stand-offish at times. Some would even go so far as to describe her as appearing sad or lonely. It's not that she does not enjoy the company of others; she's just not very adept at interacting with people due to her own past.

Setsuna was always a solitary figure due to her duty as the guardian of the gates of time (a position that would not allow her to interact with anyone else other than Queen Serenity). Queen Serenity is the one that originally placed the three taboos on Pluto when she was given this position, when she was still very young. The taboos were as followed: she must not travel through time, she must not abandon her post at the Door, and she must never cause time to stop. While no punishment is expressly defined for her, she was told that if she were to break the last taboo (stopping time) that her life would end. Putting such a heavy rule on one so young, is what contributed to Pluto’s serious nature. She does not abide by those who would break the rules or flaunt them in her face. She can be very ruthless in that regard, although since all of the taboos were broken at one point or another she isn’t completely black and white in her interpretation of the rules. However, tell a girl she’ll die if she uses a power, and she is going to seriously think things through before utilizing them. Within the manga, Pluto only makes use of the final taboo once and it was to sacrifice her to save Small Lady and to prevent the collapse of the universe itself. So, she’ll break the rules, but only as a last resort and she’ll be willing to die for it if that is what is meant to be.

The Outers Senshi, including Pluto, was placed on the far edges of space to guard the Silver Millennium from outside invaders. As such, Pluto did not get many opportunities to make friends in her past life and certainly that continued into the future when her only friend turned out to be Small Lady who saw her only loneliness reflected in Pluto’s existence. After all that time, Setsuna is used to being on her own. This makes it difficult for her to open up to others, although because of Small Lady's interaction with her and the companionship of the Outer sailor soldiers, she has learned to be a little more open. She is certainly not as emotional as most people, but her love and compassion for others runs very deep within her. She does not always let it show and even tells Small Lady that one way of showing your love for others is by watching over them from afar. Setsuna may not show her affection and concern in overt ways, but that does not mean she is completely as cold and distant as her guardian planet would demonstrate.

The people she does make friends with become very dear to her because they are so few and far between. She’s not used to having people in her life so this can be a new experience and one she actually seems to enjoy. Contrary to her introverted nature, she does not enjoy the isolation her duty demands of her. However, she also understands deeply the weight of her duty and puts that above all else. When they are tasked with stopping Sailor Saturn from awakening, Setsuna aligns herself with Haruka and Michiru in killing Hotaru, even though she knows the others do not approve. Setsuna does not sway in her task in killing Hotaru until it is proven that Sailor Saturn is not the entity they believe her to be.

Thankfully, Setsuna has warmed up some since being allowed to live as a human with the other Outer sailor soldiers. She has a strong compassion for the other girls that make her come across as almost a maternal figure. She also has a "weakness" to small children and will often act motherly towards them (ie Hotaru and Small Lady). It's not a surprise then that inside Setsuna can be a very warm person. She does like to help other people, even if she cannot always do so directly. She is a very good listener and, being as old as she is, her wisdom also aids in her ability to help others. Unfortunately her sadness comes through in that sometimes she is unable to or even forbidden to help those she cares about due to her duties as a guardian of time. She is not supposed to change the past or stop time for any reason and the price is high if she uses these powers. As such, Setsuna spends a lot of time watching events happen and sadly doing nothing to stop them unless the need is great enough for her to make that sacrifice.

Her quiet nature aside, Setsuna does have passions that might seem odd for someone of her type. She is very much interested in fashion and sewing. She does not often have the chance to put this interest to practice, but it is an interest of hers none-the-less. It is because of this that Setsuna strives to be elegant and dresses such, even when the need might not call for it. This elegance is reflected not only in her dress but also in her behavior. She speaks to people with a great deal of politeness and does not raise her voice very often at all.

She also has a strong love for history (obviously) and science. She has spent her time as a human both as a nurse at a high school and as a Physics student at university. Setsuna spends a lot of her free time, when she isn't designing clothes, to read a variety of books and keep up-to-date on current science theories. Setsuna may not share the IQ of Ami, but she is a very knowledgeable and experienced woman. She is an excellent resource in any number of areas, not just the ones mentioned above. She’s worked with scientists on a number of occasions in her new life and, as such, when she talks she comes across as a very intelligent and well-informed individual.

Unfortunately, canon does not provide many examples of what Setsuna is like when she meets someone new as there are not many instances of characters outside of the sailor senshi and the few supporting characters involved with them (ie the cats, a few parents, etc). However, based on her first encounters with Small Lady and later the college students that work with Setsuna, one can assume a few things. First, most people when they meet Setsuna are immediately struck by her dark complexion and beauty. She is a naturally gorgeous and elegant woman that carries herself as such. Some have even gone so far as to use the term goddess. This can come across as intimating to some or just put them in awe, but it’s not something that Setsuna focuses on when thinking about herself. She does concern herself with other people’s problems, often before her own, since the nature of her duty as a soldier is to rescue other people. The example here is supported by her encounter with Small Lady who first meets her when she was upset. Pluto’s concern is not that a young girl has broken into the gates of time, but that the Small Lady is not harmed.

Interesting to note, despite her powers and strength, Setsuna's greatest fear is of cockroaches.

When Setsuna arrives in Knowhere it is likely that she will do all in her power to investigate the anomalies that are causing the breaks in time and space. She is a naturally inquisitive person that would find such events extremely troubling. She might throw herself more into this problem than anything else simply because she would feel it is her duty to solve these kinds of problems. Of course, eventually she would start socializing in other kinds of ways, mostly to get to know people that might have some insight on the problem and to relieve her own loneliness now that she is no longer around the other girls. Also being the maternal figure that she is to many of the girls, she would easily step into this role aboard the station as well. She would want to help people, though her main goal would be returning to her own time and place to continue her duty as a guardian soldier.

powers and abilities: Setsuna is a sailor soldier and guardian to the gates of time and princess of Pluto. She possesses certain powers because of this status, most of them connected to her sailor crystal and her garnet orb & rod. Her element, as you might guess, is time. Setsuna is Pluto's civilian form and in order to become Pluto she must use the Pluto Crystal and call out "Pluto Crystal Power, Make Up!"

As a sailor soldier, she is stronger and faster than an average human. She is capable of hand-to-hand combat (or using her talisman the garnet orb & rod) and calling on a great deal of energy-based attacks in order to fight. Setsuna is also very-much in tune with the flow of time and can often sense changes in the course of the time stream or spacial anomalies, especially if something major has occurred to disturb its natural flow. Suffice to say Knowhere is going to give her a bit of a headache. While Setsuna has some control over time/space, she was given several taboos which she must not break (but has broken anyway on one occasion or another): she must not travel through time, she must not abandon her post at the Door, and she must never cause time to stop. Of course, in the span of the manga, she has broken all three of the taboos and her life ended. These abilities are taboo for a reason. If she were to use them in game she would die, so that is hopefully limit enough...but if not we can say that her ability to even use these powers is nixed. We can even go so far as to say the major fluctuation in space/time have interfered with her ability to connect with the gates of time, hence stopping her from getting a "get out of Knowhere free card."

Her most common attacks are as followed: Dead Scream (an energy blast attack), Chronos Typhoon (sends a blast of wind at the enemy for massive damage), and Garnet Ball (creates a shield using the Garnet Orb).

Rarer attacks include Dark Dome Close and Time Stop. Dark Dome Close is an ability Pluto uses to seal off the Space-Time Door. Time Stop is her aforementioned taboo ability to freeze time, an attack so powerful it ends her life and the ability stops when she is dead.

There are other powers that are available to her such as the Sailor Teleport and a sort of psychic link with the other sailors, however this is more of a group effort and isn't something she can do on her own.

Oh, and she can perform small magic tricks with her Garnet Rod by saying "Abra Kadabra." Mostly this is making stuff appear out of nowhere and mostly for fun/to entertain Small Lady. Basic magician stuff really. She is very skilled at using the Rod as a weapon in combat and it has magical properties as well, mostly used in the attacks mentioned above.

infinity gem: Soul Gem
Setsuna is a guardian and protector at her core, charged with protecting her princess at all costs. Due to this, Setsuna is often desiring peace above all else. In times of peace, she does not have to worry about her princess so much. She is aware enough to know that her princess’s power draws all kinds of attacks so that peace will not last, but she desires it all the same. Even with that aside, Setsuna is a calming presence for the other girls. While in the past she has worked alone, she is probably the first of the Outer sailor soldiers to truly desire working together and alongside the Inner sailor soldiers. Not to mention that maintaining the order in the universe and especially where time/space is concerned is an important duty for her. She becomes very upset or troubled when those balance shifts. Order is very important in her life. Because of these reasons the Soul Gem would have likely chosen to bond with her.

power: Psychic Constructs
housing: 9 & 3
inventory:
1. Sailor Crystal
2. Clothes she is wearing
3. Purse
4. Garnet Orb/Rod*

*Garnet Orb/Rod is summoned upon transformation using the Sailor Crystal, so I wasn't sure if it counted as an item. Technically the crystal is a part of her "being" so I wasn't sure if I needed to list it either...so I listed them both.

log sample:

Setsuna was beginning to regret having come to Starlin’s Bar. It was not one of her normal hangouts around the station, but she knew she was beginning to fall back on her isolation tendencies without the other girls present. She wasn’t as socially adept as some of the other girls, even Haruka and Michiru had far better skills at social interaction than she did. It took effort for Setsuna to reach out and make friends with others outside of her circle of influence. She thought coming to Starlin’s Bar might help that endeavor since a lot of people staying on the station concentrated there. However, she hadn’t thought it through that most of those people here were probably not going to share her same interests. She looked down at her not-quite-tea drink and sighed, this had been a terrible decision.

However, it was about to get worse. The noise level started to pick up around her and Setsuna looked up when she heard people shouting at one another. The sound of curses and name calling quickly turned into the sound of fists against flesh and furniture being broken. She was taken completely by surprise when an iridescent blue skinned humanoid was thrown onto her table. Setsuna jumped up from her seat and away from the table, eyes wide with surprise. Oh yes, this had been a very bad idea. Her gaze flickered to where the fight was continuing and then back to the man on her table, she tentatively reached out, “Are you all right?”

She wanted to get out of here, but being probably one of the few in this bar with any medical training (even if it was just the basics for being a school nurse). Being here had brought thoughts of all the girls at one point or another, Setsuna just couldn’t help herself sometimes. It was why now she was reaching out to help a stranger. It was something that Usagi or Small Lady would have done. It was as close as she could be to them right now.

The man grunted and sat up, “Fine. Just fine. Lady you better get out of here.” He rolled off of the table, “This is no place for a classy lady such as yourself. Especially right now.” He looked over at her and nodded towards the door.

Setsuna flushed slightly but stood her ground, “I’ve dealt with worse than bar fights. I think I need to make sure no one else is hurt.” Still, she didn’t want to get caught up in a fist fight, that wasn’t exactly her area of expertise. He gave her a skeptical look that she’d dealt with anything worse than a broken nail. She stood taller, not wanting to be underestimated. But perhaps she had underestimated the bar fights of a place like this because suddenly there was a roar and a large ape-like creature with tusks and white fur came charging out of the concentrated area of the fight. Setsuna grabbed at the blue man and they both flung themselves out of the path of the rampaging patron. Setsuna pushed herself up when it was past her, “This is definitely not my place.”

“Agreed,” the man muttered. He eyed the area where the brawl had taken place and noticed it was starting to clear up. Apparently a rampaging alien would do that.

Setsuna caught him eyeing her. “What?”

“Just thinking there are much better places here for you to be. So I’m just curious about what brought you here.”

She fell quiet for a moment. Thinking of the strange circumstances that had brought her to this station far from the space and time she was familiar with, although she knew that was not what he was referring to in this instance. Setsuna brushed her hair back and answered, “I suppose I was just lonely. This place is much livelier than most of the other places I visit here.”

Enlightened Level: 42 [week 35]

Abilities: Stage 2
Setsuna's attack stat will greatly increase upon her first evolution as more attacks will be at her disposal. Similar to abilities like Psybeam, Night Slash, and Dark Pulse will be added to her repertoire. Setsuna can use her psychic abilities to greater effect and move objects with greater ease. Her dark moves also take on a more deadly aspect as Setsuna is able to use the darkness and shadows more to her advantage and slash and strike with them. At this stage, while she does not have full-blown Future Sight yet, she can sometimes sense oncoming danger or gets "feelings" about events that are to unfold. They are never clear though. What is stronger is that, in conjunction with her Analyst ability, she can see people's pasts and get a sense for where a person has come from and who they used to be. But, again, this is never 100% clear, it's more like a feeling.

Character Name: Setsuna Meioh
Character Canon: Sailor Moon

History: Sailor Pluto/Setsuna's history can get a bit tangled, mostly because she has guarded the gates of time for so long and it is a place that is technically set OUTSIDE of time itself. Sailor Pluto has been guarding those gates since the Silver Millenium began, assigned the task by Queen Serenity herself and placed there from what appears to be the age of 10 to 13 (though the senshi age slowly as it is, so it is difficult to say for sure). Pluto is not allowed to leave the gates and is forced from this spot of isolation to watch the Silver Millennium fall to the powers of Chaos.

At some point in time, though it's hard to tell where it falls in Pluto's personal timeline, she is met by the future daughter of Sailor Moon, Chibiusa. Chibiusa stumbles into her realm by accident after a day of being bullied. Pluto comforts the child and quickly becomes friends with her after showing the tiny princess magic tricks. Unfortunately, this isn't enough to prevent Chibiusa from stealing a time key of Pluto's and traveling to the past. This happens after Crystal Tokyo is attacked and Chibiusa sees it as her chance to get help from the past to save her mother and others. However, when Chibiusa attempts to return to the future with Sailor Moon and others in tow, Sailor Pluto steps in to stop them. She was tasked with preventing the time gate from being used and nearly kills Sailor Moon and the others, but Chibiusa stops her from killing them just in time. Sailor Pluto lets the pass into the future, but is unable to actually help them accomplish their goal of saving the 30th century, even when Chibiusa turns dark side briefly. Pluto spends her time on the sideline until Prince Demande tries to connect the Silver Crystal of the past and future, which would end everything. Pluto can no longer sit back and stops time to prevent the crystals from meeting. However, this action costs Pluto her life and she dies shortly after Sailor Moon and Venus separate the crystals in the frozen Prince's hands. It is during this time that Chibiusa returns to her former self and also is able to become Chibi Moon, an act brought on by Pluto's death in her grief.

This is not the end of Pluto's story however. After she dies, Pluto is allowed to be reborn like the sailor senshi before her. She is reborn on earth as Setsuna Meioh. Setsuna's past as a mortal is unclear, although given her living conditions and such in the manga it can be assumed she came from a wealthy family of some kind. Setsuna, at first, seems to have no memory of her time as a sailor senshi or guardian of time. It isn't until she happens to pick up and is attacked by a plant from a member of an evil organization of aliens known as the Death Busters that she starts to remember her past life. It is during this time that she awakens and draws both Michiru and Haruka to her as fellow teammates, Outer Senshi.

After regaining her memories and reclaiming her task as a protector of the Solar System from the Outer Planets, she aids Haruka (Uranus) and Michiru (Neptune) in attempting to stop the Death Busters though Mugen Academy. It turns out that they have a secondary goal as well: to prevent the awakening of the mysterious Sailor Saturn, who would end all life as they knew it just as she did in the Silver Millennium. Unfortunately, Saturn awakens anyway after a major battle occurs and the Senshi are left mostly defeated. However, instead of ending the world, Saturn seals herself away with the invaders and Pluto seals the rift in the dimensions. Saturn is then reborn, again, and the three Outers take the baby away to raise her under their care.

Setsuna does not step in again until some months later. In that intervening time, Setsuna and the other Outer Senshi have been raising Hotaru as their own child, though she has been growing at an accelerated rate they cannot explain. Saturn is awakened once again, but this time with a dire warning and a new purpose as a senshi. The Outers are warned that their princess is in danger and they must once again step in to help. They are put through battles and nightmares, but once again the Senshi come out on top and force the bad guys away once more.

Recently, in the peace to come, Setsuna has taken on the guise of a nurse at the school Chibiusa and Hotaru are attending. She seems to enjoy it a lot and is very popular among the students. It is while this is taking place that Setsuna begins to wonder if the peace will last and in her sleep later that night finds herself in another world instead.

AU History: (Note: I spoke with our other Sailor Moon apps and they said they were fine with these changes to the history)

In another life she went by the name of Pluto and was considered to be one of the Savior's many companions who helped fight to preserve the human race. After that time passed, Pluto was reincarnated as an Enligthened named Setsuna Meioh. Setsuna was born into a very prestigious family of the upper crust that, until recently, kept their daughter in isolation from the rest of Union for two reasons: 1) to raise the perfect lady and 2) to teach her personally about the Divine Defense Force, an organization they had been involved in for generations and guarded several of their secrets. They did allow her one pokemon companion in the hopes that it would help keep her company as they raised her into the perfect lady.

Setsuna's elegance and shyness stem from this upbringing, though initially she brushed off her family's insistence that she take up the mantel of the Divine Defense Force because it seemed like a burden she was not ready for and wanted to be her own person. As she spent much of her time growing up alone, Setsuna studied and read quite a few books about history and mythology of the world. Whether it was these tomes or her own blossoming Enlightened abilities that pushed her to seek the world beyond her large mansion in Union is anyone's guess. Setsuna eventually compromised with her family that she would join the Divine Defense Force if they would allow her the right to pursue her own goals first.

And so, Setsuna enrolled in the public University with aspirations to become a Researcher/Historian, someone who took technology from the past and implemented it in the present. She found herself consistently drawn to the Old City and the books about their past and so when she started having dreams about the Savior and the calamity that befell them in a past life she wrote it off as fiction interfering in her life.

Other than that, things were fairly normal for Setsuna. It wasn't until recently when, during some research, she picked up on some strange readings outside of the city. Curiosity got the better of her and Setsuna left the city to investigate on her own. She encountered one of Tomoe's Grass-type experiments and was nearly drained of all of her energy before Haruka and Michiru found her and rescued her. When she saw the pair something stirred inside her and some of her memories of the past and her dreams became just a little bit clearer and she asked them to let her help in their mission. It was then that she accepted her duty as a continuing member of the Divine Defense force as her parents had wanted.

Setsuna felt more sympathy for Hotaru than perhaps the other two (possibly recalling her own loneliness growing up). She was brought in on their plan to watch over Hotaru and raise her from here on out. Though it's likely she'll retain her job as a Researcher just to keep an eye on things as well.

Canon Personality: Setsuna is very much the quiet type. She prefers to meditate over matters on her own and can even appear to be cold and stand-offish at times. Some would even go so far as to describe her as appearing sad or lonely. It's not that she does not enjoy the company of others, she's just not very adept at interacting with people due to her own past. Setsuna may not share the IQ of Ami, but she is a very knowledgeable and experienced woman. She is an excellent resource in any number of areas, not just the ones mentioned above.

Interesting to note, despite her powers and strength, Setsuna's greatest fear is of cockroaches.

AU Deviation: Setsuna is much more in line with her manga reincarnated counterpart than any version of Sailor Pluto that was stuck at the gates of time. While she'll still have an air of mystery and elegance about her, it isn't at quite the same levels as the sole guardian of the gates of time would have since she never had those centuries of experience all alone at the gates of time.

Setsuna won't have QUITE the crippling experience of loneliness that her canon counterpart would have. It isn't like her parents denied her ANY social interaction, just that it was very limited and well monitored as they raised her to be a proper lady of society. As such, Setsuna will still be quiet and reserved as she is in canon, but won't have that weight of loneliness and isolation that comes with being Sailor Pluto. This means too, of course, that Setsuna won't be quite as sad and might actually come across as MORE caring about other people. She was already a sucker for small children in canon, but now she will have the added bonus of wanting to care for others because she doesn't want children to end up like herself: cut off from the world.

It should also be noted that instead of cockroaches, this fear will be transferred to a fear of Bug-type pokemon. There isn't really any logical explanation for this fear, except perhaps in this universe she has a typing that is double weak to such creatures. Setsuna's desires to be a designer may also be played up as she takes on the role of costume making for the theater troupe. However, much like in canon, this will be a hobby more so than anything since she would still want to keep her role as a researcher (after all, it led her to the other girls, it may take her other places of importance as well).

Canon Abilities: Setsuna is a sailor soldier and guardian to the gates of time and princess of Pluto.

As a senshi, she is stronger and faster than an average human. She is capable of hand-to-hand combat and calling on a great deal of energy-based attacks in order to fight. Setsuna is also very-much in tune with the flow of time and can often sense changes in the course of the time stream, especially if something major has occurred to disturb its natural flow.

Her most common attacks are as followed: Dead Scream (an energy blast attack), Chronos Typhoon (sends a blast of wind at the enemy for massive damage), and Garnet Ball (creates a shield using the Garnet Orb).

There are other powers that are available to her such as the Sailor Teleport and a sort of psychic link with the other sailors.

Enlightened Abilities: Dark/Psychic; Analyst
Initial Ability- She will have abilities similar to Agility, Feint Attack, Light Screen, and Teleport. Setsuna will be speedy, but due more to her psychic ability than on wind or physical power. She will be adept at moving in the shadows and sneaking up on people, which has the added advantage of giving her an air of mystery about her. Not to mention that, with her typing, she will be immune to psychic abilities. Her talents certainly lie outside the realm of attack power as she has a higher stat in speed and special defense, this is evident in her Light Screen ability as well. She is just good with keeping people out and likes to avoid a fight if she can, seeing as her only attack abilities are similar to Feint Attack where she comes from the shadows to do so. Otherwise, she is just as likely to flee by teleporting away, though the move is short range and does not allow her to escape far.

First Evolution- Setsuna's attack stat will greatly increase upon her first evolution as more attacks will be at her disposal. What is stronger is that, in conjuction with her Analyst ability, she can see people's pasts and get a sense for where a person has come from and who they used to be. But, again, this is never 100% clear, it's more like a feeling.

Second Evolution- Setsuna is more attuned to the universe now and possesses attacks similar to the moves Night Daze, Future Sight, Dark Void, and Psyshock. Setsuna has mastered both her dark and psychic sides and utilizes them to great effect. She can see into the future very clearly for short time spans and can use this especially to her advantage in battle. She is able to completely conceal herself and others in dark shadows and can use them to travel through as well. Her abilities are now less about reading other people and about dealing complete and utter metal damage on her opponent. She radiates darkness now, but because of her psychic ability it is muted as a kind of stronger mystery.

No item to start, though like her fellow Outers she will gain an enhanced item eventually that is similar to her Garnet Orb/Rod.

Starter Pokémon: Espurr (lv. 8), Hoothoot (lv. 5)
Notes/Special Considerations: Along the same lines as the other Outer senshi apping. Access to her Garnet Orb/Rod talisman at some point and her connections to the original Savior via reincarnation, perhaps even being able to regain memories of that at some point? I'll mostly be going along with whatever occurs to the other senshi as I think we're trying to maintain ties between them. We tossed around the idea that the item may be tied to Celebi, but if we need to work out something else for the Talismans that is fine.

First-Person: Post @ Revenance

Third-Person:[We'll pretend this was her job interview for Researcher]
Setsuna sits thoughtfully for a moment, poised and calm as usual. She has been waiting for this opportunity for a long time now and isn't about to let some odd questions get the better of her. She really desires this position. As the interview for the job begins she carefully considers each question before replying:

-What do you feel your role in Union is?
I feel that my role is to help connect our past to our present and future. While we may look back on our ancestors and try to make judgement about how they treated Pokemon, it cannot be denied that they had some truly fascinating technologies that could still benefit us today. I want to be able to help Union improve upon its roots so that we can see a future where both Pokemon, human, and Enlightened can all live in true peace. That is why I wish to be a Researcher, so I can help find those connections for us and push us towards that peace.

-What strengths make you most qualified for your role within Union?
Researchers are called upon to create new technologies for the city and to educate through the university possible implications of their research, correct? I believe my ability to see details that others cannot and my own passion for history make me qualified for such a task. We cannot move forward if we do not learn from the past and I think it is important that researchers don't just dwell in the possibilities of the future, but look to the past as well. My knowledge of history is extremely important for that.

-What do you seek for humanity’s future?
Is it not obvious after the previous questions? I seek the continued peace between Pokemon, human, and Enlightened. I want us to continue to grow together and learn from our past mistakes as we better ourselves. No one can ever be perfect, but we can certainly continue to learn...just as the Savior wished of us to.

-What does the story of the Savior mean to you?
I believe it is a story of hope. That even when humanity has reached it's lowest, darkest point and is in the thrall of war, that we are not ALL overcome by that darkness. There is always goodness in people and we just have to remember to look for it. The Savior went to such great lengths to sacrifice herself all because she believed in humanity's inherent goodness. She believed when no one else did that we could be forgiven. If that is not hope, then I do not know what that word means.

-You plunge into the depths of the Old City. What is it that you seek from the past? Treasure, technology, wisdom?
[Slight smile] I believe it goes without saying that I would want to find wisdom. We can learn a lot from the past and it can prevent us from repeating their mistakes and ending up in a situation similar to their's or worse if we are not careful.

-What do you look for in the Pokémon with whom you bond?
[Here she shudders.] I suppose as long as it is not a Bug-type pokemon...I'm not sure what other traits I would look for. I would like companions who are sweet and not so eager to fight. I think as long as we could get along and they didn't mind that I get wrapped up in my work, we would be okay. Otherwise, I don't think I have much of a preference just...no bugs, please.

[IC Information]
Character Name: Setsuna Meioh
Series: Sailor Moon
Gender: Female
Age: early 20s possibly 1000s of years old, it's kinda complicated in Sailor Moon
Species: Human (?)

Appearance: Setsuna is a very elegant woman when you first see her. She has skin as dark as mocha and dark black-green hair. Her hair she tends to let grow long and down to her waist, with parts of it pulled back into a bun behind her head. Her dark complexion is complemented by a pair of deep red eyes, the same garnet color as her tailsmen orb. Setsuna has long legs and a small waist to the point where some might mistake her for a model, especially given the fashionable clothes she likes to wear. Setsuna stands at about 5'7" and is considered one of the more mysterious of the senshi, given the aura she gives off. When not wearing her fashionable clothes of her human guise, Setsuna wears the standard uniform of a sailor senshi, a fuku with a red bow and black skirt and collar. This outfit also comes with boots and gloves. She is also often seen with a garnet orb which she typically keeps atop a rod shaped like a giant key.

Personality: Setsuna is very much the quiet type. She prefers to meditate over matters on her own and can even appear to be cold and stand-offish at times. Some would even go so far as to describe her as appearing sad or lonely. It's not that she does not enjoy the company of others, she's just not very adept at interacting with people due to her own past. Setsuna was always a solitary figure due to her duty as the guardian of the gates of time (a position that would not allow her to interact with anyone else other than Queen Serenity). After all that time, Setsuna is used to being on her own. This makes it difficult for her to open up to others, although because of Small Lady's interaction with her and the companionship of the Outer Senshi, she has learned to be a little more open. She is certainly not as emotional as most people, but her love and compassion for others runs very deep within her.

Thankfully, Setsuna has warmed up some since being allowed to live as a human with the other Outer senshi. She has a strong compassion for the other girls that makes her come across as almost a maternal figure. She also has a "weakness" to small children and will often act motherly towards them (ie Hotaru and Small Lady). It's not a surprise then, that inside Setsuna can be a very warm person.

Interesting to note, despite her powers and strength, Setsuna's greatest fear is of cockroaches.

Abilities: Setsuna is a sailor soldier and guardian to the gates of time and princess of Pluto.

Also she will not have access to the gates of time while trapped in the world of dreams. No exit card for you Setsuna Meioh.

Her most common attacks are as followed: Dead Scream (an energy blast attack), Chronos Typhoon (sends a blast of wind at the enemy for massive damage), and Garnet Ball (creates a shield using the Garnet Orb).

The Garnet Rod and Orb, while shaped like a key, is not to be confused with the series' keyblades and they have no relation. Setsuna unlocks the gates of time, not people's hearts. However, she is very skilled at using the Rod as a weapon in combat and it has magical properties as well, mostly used in the attacks mentioned above.

Items: Her sailor crystal henshin wand. Also her Garnet Orb and Rod, it comes with the transformation and is kind of tied to her existence...really a lot like those keyblades that they are totally not like at all.

First-Person Communicator Sample: [Setsuna is sitting at a cafe with the communicator propped up. She seems fairly comfortable with using it. Her dark hair falls over her shoulders and she brushes it back. A cup of tea can be seen sitting in front of her and, for the moment, she is in fashionable civilian clothes. She offers the broadcast a warm, if small, smile.]

Hello. My name is Setsuna Meioh. I've been filled in on what I believe are the basics of this place and what has been going on. Or at least that we are dreaming here. I'm afraid the Moogle could not give me much information in who was here or who would be a good person to speak with about the current problems that result in people being pulled into dreams.

[She sighs, letting it turn into an action that cools her tea. She raises the cup to her lips, sips, and then sets it back down, musing as she looks down at the tea, pensive.]

I thought I was done worrying about being attacked in my dreams. I suppose my prediction that the peace would not last was accurate.

[She looks up. Trying to appear cool, calm, and collected.]

I'll be at this outdoors cafe if you would like to meet in person. I do prefer speaking that way over communication devices like this...but I can understand if you are shy to meet me.

Third-Person RP Sample: Setsuna's eyes slowly opened as light trickled in through the partially opened blinds. It wasn't often that she got the chance to sleep in, but Michiru and Haruka had insisted on taking Hotaru out early that day. It left the house quiet enough for Setsuna to sleep well past her normal time of waking up. She yawned as sat up in bed, brushing strands of green hair out of her face, "I can't believe how late it is." Setsuna glanced at the bedside clock to be sure of her hunch. It was nearly 10 o'clock. Setsuna frowned slightly, "Haruka would say I'm turning into Minako or Usagi, this isn't good."

She rolled out of bed, slightly less elegantly than normal and padded towards the kitchen. There was a lot to be done today, even if it was a day off from her typical duties with Hotaru. She needed to get the spring cleaning started and she still had some errands to run in preparation for dinner that evening. Setsuna couldn't help but berate herself a bit for sleeping in so long. It was her own fault really, staying up late the evening before reading over the latest theories in the topic of theoretical physics.

Setsuna hummed to herself as she fixed a cup of tea. Haruka had left her the morning paper to read and it looked as though Michiru had already cut a fresh boquet of flowers and placed them on the kitchen table. Setsuna picked up the paper and sighed, "Things may be at peace for us, but this period of time is still one of great turmoil." It was the typical headlines of war and political unrest. Setsuna knew what the future held, but it still troubled her to see these things and sometimes made her wonder how the peaceful world of the 30th century would ever come about.

She was about to toss the paper aside when something small and dark skittered across the linoleum floor of the kitchen. Setsuna froze, her entire body tensing up as her mind raced for what had caused the image. She looked out of the corner of her eyes and let out a very undignified squeak. A cockroach! In her house! Setsuna bit her lip and tried not to make any sudden movements. The bug was lurking near the island in the middle of the kitchen and she was several feet away near the table. If she moved slowly maybe she could avoid it.

'It's so gross! Oh Chronos please keep it over there,' she thought to herself, her eyes never leaving the sight of the roach. It's antenna twitched as Setsuna took a step back. Where was Haruka when she needed her! Setsuna slowly backed out of the kitchen, her eyes never deviating from the sight of the bug. She could not BELIEVE that thing had gotten in here. They were usually so good about keeping such vermin out. Setsuna hated to do it, but she knew she had no choice. She was going to have to run back to the bedroom and call Haruka.

The soldier of time made it back to her room and shut the door. Her entire body shuddered as she thought back to the cockroach. Those things just really gave her the creeps. Still, she felt safer in her bedroom. With a sigh of resignation, knowing she would never hear the end of this as usual, she walked over to the bedroom phone and dialed Haruka's number.
